Wait, I do too have a camera-phone pic from the NY Comic Con floor! Here it is. Three unidentified shirtless guys.
Had a great first few hours on the show floor! So great, I forgot to take any pictures with the camera phone! I'll get some pics off the big camera later. For now, the highlights will have to be text-only.
My first goal was to locate booth 2447 and meet my author and pal, the incomparable Buddy Scalera. Found him! For about three years, we've emailed, IMed, phoned, and collaborated via FTP'd InDesign files... but we had never met in person. Now, we have. Technology makes the physical world seem smaller, while it makes our personal worlds larger. Gotta love it.
In honor of this occasion, I'll post the first picture of Buddy I ever saw: a test shot he did for his first book, using slide film. Tough-guy expression... automotive t-shirt... I'll admit, I was scared at first. Soon, though, it was clear why people call Buddy "the nicest guy in comics."
